ABOUT SWAC
SWAC Training Groups
The SWAC program welcomes swimmers of all abilities - from beginner to elite. Each group emphasizes stroke fundamentals and proper technique in an atmosphere of fun, camaraderie and achievement. Swimmers work with their coach to set goals and to mark their swimming progress. The staff's objective is to train each swimmer for a lifetime of growth and success - we will never sacrifice a child's long term goals and potential for the sake of reaching a short-lived objective.
Upper-level training groups offer a variety of innovative training methods to maximize performance, strength, and flexibility:
- "Dry-land" conditioning programs
- Yoga sessions taught by a certified and experienced yogi/trainer
- In-pool "Power-Rack" training systems
- Underwater stroke analysis video systems and TiVo replay
Age Group Teams:
SWAC recognizes the emotional, physical, and intellectual changes a child experiences through childhood and adolescence. With this in mind, SWAC offers FIVE separate training levels for swimmers ages 6 - 14. Each training group has specific coaches dedicated to the development of these swimmers. This allows SWAC to give the most age-specific training in Northern Indiana.
Senior Team:
At the senior level, swimmers further refine and perfect their stroke work and strive to achieve their maximum mental and physical potential. SWAC's senior team is the only program in Northern Indiana that has its own exclusive coach. This allows SWAC's senior swimmers to receive consistent and top-tier training on a day-to-day basis.
