SWAC swimmer Amy Gutwein placed 17th at the USA Swimming National Open Water Grand Prix race this Sunday.   The race was a 10,000 meter (6.2 mile) open water swim at the Eagle Creek Reservoir in Indianapolis.   The top 15 competitors earned invitations to the World Championship Trials in October.   Amy swam extremely well and was the top placing Indiana swimmer in the competition, which included the current open water world champion as well as the current world record holder in the mile.
